Hello again, all!
I am still waiting for pictures from Alexandria, but there is a lot going on here and other travels have taken place, and I know that this particular trip will be of some interest to at least a couple of you.
Here is where I went.
I am still waiting for pictures from Alexandria, but there is a lot going on here and other travels have taken place, and I know that this particular trip will be of some interest to at least a couple of you.
Here is where I went.
This was the view from the balcony of my hotel room. That is the Red Sea. My life is kind of awesome.
This was for a trip organized by International Student Affairs where they agreed to pay for 1 night in Ain Sokhna (turned out to be two, more on that shortly) if we would come and participate in a 2 or 3 hour session dealing with the issue of culture shock and how people are adjusting to Cairo. I figured that 2 or 3 hours of meeting for free meals and the Red Sea sounded like a good trade.

In addition to that was a trip to the world's oldest monastery, St. Antony's. I have some picture of St. Anthony's I got from a friend. I didn't take many pictures there. I have a thing about taking pictures of holy places - just feels wrong. Here's what I have so far.
And that's about it for Ain Sokhna. Although it was a bit of a pain getting back. We ended up havign to stay an extra night because and oil tanker flipped over on the highway out of Ain Sokhna, completely blocking traffic. So, extra day on the beach! Woo!
More updates soon, sorry they're coming so slowly. I'll try and get more out soon.
